About the mesh:

This mesh is incredibly fine. Imagine if you will an amalgam of silk and steel and that is basically what this product feels like.

It is easily cut with the bare hand. Indeed this is the most accurate means of cutting to size, because you can't see the aperture with the naked eye which makes cutting with scissors in a straight line almost impossible.
